Deinstallation - opens Tuesday, June 17th and end Sunday June 29th. Deinstallation hours: Tues, Wed & Thursdays: 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: Noon - 10 p.m. Please try to have all your artwork, lights, and personal property off your wall/partition and out of the building by Sunday evening, June 22. Volunteers may start taking artwork off of partitions mid-day Sunday to make way for deconstruction. The Miller and Long crew will begin dismantling the stages, rooms, and partitions, on Monday, June 23. Bring your own tools - we do not have tools in the office for artists to use. Bring your own trash bags and take your trash out with you. Remember to sign out in the 10th floor office when you are completely deinstalled. The electrician will remove power to the plugs starting Monday, June 23. The lights will stay in place until the end of the month. What to do to your space/wall/parition: Partition: We are negotiating with a developer to store all the lumber for the 'next event'. If we can't get that done this week, we'll probably have to donate the lumber to Habitat for Humanity or Community Forklift (along with some other smaller groups). Either way, the lumber will be reused. So please, remove everything but the paint. Take out your nails and screws and wallpaper. Leave the lighting bracket on. If you want to TAKE your partition home because you've created something on it, I guess that will be OK. However, you MAY NOT tear the partition down yourself. Please leave that for the professionals. Partitions will be dismantled starting mid-week probably after the rooms and stages are taken down. This schedule is subject to change as crews get rolling. Please post a note on your partition saying you want to keep your partition before Sunday so your partition doesn't get stacked with all the rest. Artists/volunteers will be tasked to help transport the lumber to the elevators. The Miller and Long crew will load and unload the elevators and stack the lumber in the Cabaret Room. Artists/volunteers may be tasked with transporting lumber to the loading dock as necessary. Core Wall: Please remove all your nails and hooks and signs. Volunteers will patch the holes so individual artists don't have to. Space: Please remove all your stuff and return your area to better than you found it. PLEASE TRY TO GET YOUR ARTWORK OUT OF THE BUILDING (during regular hours) AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE (June 21 would be great) SO WE CAN START TEARING DOWN THE PARTTIONS. |
