“Painting with bass”, to borrow a concept from David Torn, best describes my approach to music. I play basses (NS bass cello and fretless five string) combined with effects, loops, electronics and preparations to create improvisations ranging from ambient textures to noise and machinery. Vector Trio is my regular group and now I’m branching out to explore solo playing which concentrates on sound and texture but is not afraid to venture into rhythm and melody.
