Sat May 31 - 2:00pm-4:30pm If you are a young person living in the DMV or know someone who is (ages 13-19) and you want the opportunity to be on film as part of a promotional video for a completely worthy cause (HIV and AIDS prevention) we want YOU! THIS Saturday, May 31, 2008, any time between 2pm and 5pm join Dance4LIfe USA, part of an international initiative to stop the spread of HIV and AIDS in young people, for the chance to help, support, and dance! WHO? ALL young people between the ages of 13-19. You DO NOT need to be a dancer to join us. WHAT? Dance4Life activities, performances, music, and a flash mob style dance extravaganza that will be filmed and used as part of the Dance4Life program promotional materials all over the country which will be included in the USA and International websites, etc. ***PLEASE WEAR A BLUE SHIRT WITH ANOTHER LAYER OVER IT. Once the music starts playing, you will remove your outer layer and reveal the blue shirt. The idea of a flash mob is for it to be unexpected and to make a big impact. A sea of young people who reveal the same color shirts all at the same time, all dancing together, is very powerful! WHERE? Artomatic. Capitol Plaza I WHEN? 2pm-5pm. If you would like to be part of the filming please show up between 2pm and 2:30pm. WHY? Dance4Life is committed to empowering youth to use their voices, creativity, and positive energy to become the solution to ending HIV and AIDS. PLEASE invite as many young people as you can. The more people who show up, the more effective this will be. Make it a class field trip, bring your sports team, music group, neighbors, friends, family.... Just think, you will have the opportunity to be one of the first participants in the US program. Amsterdam's Dace4Life program has over 50,000 young people participating... won't you join us and help start a movement?! Dance. It does a body good.
